Chel Delaney’s work is intuitive, with sensibilities that result in constructs or images that capture the graphic, as well as the painterly. Within her landscapes, their imagery is often an interpretive expression of the individual and society's struggle with issues such as authoritarianism, climate change, and the shortcomings of today's political systems.
"I admire and I am so thankful for the individuals and groups dedicated to the work that brings about change and makes our world a better place for all," she says.
While often serious, within her work the observer will also find the humorous as well the ironic as she shares an inside joke with the viewer.
Chel is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Columbia, with a BA in English Literature. She has studied the arts and photography at International Center of Photography, The Alternative Art School, and The Southwest School of Art, San Antonio.
