Nearly two years out, Texas palms call us to remember the 2021 Valentine's Day storm, Uri. Hundreds of people died as a result of the freeze when the Texas power grid failed. 

While some families press on, learning daily to carry their grief of loved ones lost, others, unscathed by the  14-degree F storm, continue on like many of the fairweather palms that were not bruised or broken by the storm.
